Re: Cam Shaft

I agree with Albert, but the second one looks to have a better duration. I should also ask what kind of Z is it for, a TT or a NA?

Re: Cam Shaft

Are you looking at BHP or WHP of 300-400? and do you want Peak power or a better power band? Also your neglecting the other important factors, like Torque and drivability. Will it be a daily driver still or a track star?

Re: Cam Shaft

Ok I would suggest the last set of cams, with a decent head work ( was going to say job but too many dirty minds on here.) Replace all stock, emissions components, they are most likely old and clogged or near it. ECU reprogram and injectors, must have better fuel injectors, I would suggest the 555s but you may not need that big. Better to have something you may need than not have something you definatly need. A complete exhaust system, I am sure you have thought of that, and headers with high flow cats. I personally am going to convert over to a OBDII type system for my engine management, and take a note from Volvo and use some decent wide band O2 sensors or Lambda as the Germans call it. I am starting into my planning stages of the CAN networking of the engine and transmission controll systems...... This could get complicated. If I can get my paper plans to workout alright I will begin stage two of the plan and start figuring in the engine swap to the VQ30DE or the VQ35DE..... depends on price availability and well effort on my part.

Note:just becuase I start something into the planning stages doesnt mean it will ever get started on. Maybe to expensive or just impractical.
