Wheel lock key

We just purchased a 03 Xterra xe 4x4 with the 16" alloy wheels. I just wanted to know if this trucks' wheel locks came with them from the factory. I checked all 4 wheels and noticed the locks on 3 and the 4th was missing. Checked under the floor carpet but no key and was also missing the rack tool and car manual. Even went as far as dropping the spare but no key. Do all xterras use the same key or are they different for each vehicle? Need to call the dealer to see if they got it but i highly doubt it. Will it need to be rekeyed?
Thanks!

Re: Wheel lock key

Xterra's don't come with wheel keys standard. Nissan dealers carry them and you'll probably need them to give you a full set as partials aren't sold AFAIK. Your dealer will have a box of keys to take off the ones on your truck since you don't have the lock and there are about 16 different varieties.

Since this is a new truck (right?) they need to give you the rack tool or you can't remove and clean underneath it (a lot of gunk gets under there and will damage your paint over time). A manual should definitely come with your truck.

If that truck is new, the dealer sounds pretty incompetent.

Re: Wheel lock key

In that case. Go to the dealer, get the locks taken off as you don't want to have a flat in the boonies with a locked tire you can't get off. Then decide if they're really worth it. Unless they're nice aftermarket wheels, I would guess no. The rack tool can be bought on-line. Try www.xterraparts.com or you could always go to Napa and see if they have the right size Torx tool. The manual is online at www.nissan-usa.com. and I think also at www.xterraparts.com.

Re: Wheel lock key

I believe the roof rack Torx bit is a T-25 size.

Theyre just the farctory 16" wheels so no big deal. If someone wants to take them im sure they'll find a way locked or not.
Thanks for all the help everyone.
