Black widow Special edition kit

ok i have never got a bodykit put on b4 and was wondering what you guys thought about this price...i have a 91 CRX HF and i am putting a Black widow special edition kit on it and painting it like the grey s2000 (it is now red) and was wondering if $3800 sounded ok to do this...i think it seems a bit steep...but i just dont know...plus there is really no one in my area that puts on kits and this guy has done about 15-20 and he seems to have the most EXP. just wonderin...

have them paint all your shit and then install the kit yourself, $3,800 is way too much.

are you sure... the kit is 12 pcs...and they will be painting the engine bay and jams and what not...you still think its WAY too much...? if you are not familiar with the kit go to www.grounddesigns.com and look yourself

ohh, that one. Yeah, that kit is crazy. That still seems a little high, by a few hundred.

Re: Black widow Special edition kit

if it is 3,800 ...for painting bay, jambs, trunk, the kit and the car..and then installing the kit ?? pretty steep or is this including the price of the kit ? if that is including the kit then its a good deal and roll with it, especialy since you said this guy is the best in your area !!! what area is this anyways ?

Re: Black widow Special edition kit

Your average paint job is around $2,000 (for a decent/good one). That kit looks like it takes more labor than your average kit, but not $2,000 worth of labor. You could get a motor swap for cheaper labor than that. I would negotiate prices with him. I would say shoot for $3200...

Re: Black widow Special edition kit

I try biting my tongue most of the time while browsing the body kit section on here, but dude.. don't you think three thousand dollars could be put to a much better use than slapping a body kit on an old crx? I respect you at least wanting to paint it and get it done professionally but I mean you're just going to hate the way it looks in a few years when you're older and more mature..

Re: Black widow Special edition kit

If you have not already bought the kit, go here www.redrumcustoms.com they have the kit for about 11 or 1,200. I've been looking and thats the cheapest I've found the kit itself. Painting is another story.

Like most hobbies, we'll all eventually mature and grow out of it. I say "to each... their own".
