Does that sr20de in the sentra hook up to that rear wheel drive transmission in that US 240sx? I did not think that it did...if it does how much would it run to do all that to the sentra motor or more or less for the entire swap? Also what would you guess that 240 would run after being striped of insulation would run in the 1/4 mile? Would you even want to do that if seeing that the car already has a 50/50 weight setup?

#1. What he said was bullshit, there'a million threads on the subject that prove him otherwise.
#2. If you want to drag race, keep the KA and don't ask us for times, just do it.

the sr20de isnt turbo factory so it doesnt have same compression ratio, pistons, ect..i think at least thats what ive heard..Keep the KA for drag, torque is cool!

the block and heads are not the same either

you could make it work technically, but it would be a lot more work then swapping in a rb26dett or a Chevy ass raper

plus you would have a unorthodox cooling setup because the hoses and shit are designed to goto the radiato when the engine is sitting sideways, when you sit it long ways all the sudden shit goes haywire. hopefully you get what im saying, anyhow the price to convert a sr20de into spec with a stock sr20det in the end is going to cost more then a plain ole sr20det....

your waisting time and money down that route

Re: de out of a sentra for the 240...WHAT?

and he said swap out the pistons and shit anyways...after swapping out the pistons...you take the cost of the internal assembly and the sr20de block your going to about atleast 2 grand...shit you could just buy the jdm sr20det and have the same power without all the hassel...how gay

like what SR20DETpower said, the heads are different, also the distributer is facing the passenger firewall on the FWD version, while the RWD version uses a distributorless style igntion with coil packs instead. the way the intake manifold and throttle body also faces the front side of the engine. too many stuff won't fit, that guy is full of shit.
