Fallujah in pictures

Warning...GRAPHIC images

http://fallujahinpictures.com/

I don't necessarily think this is a good link to be posting on a car forum, but I believe that there are far too many people who accept this conflict without truly understanding what they are condoning.
This war, like ALL wars, is morally indefensible. What makes this one worse than most is the blatant lies and omissions that are fed to the public in order to curry support for this dirty little land grab.If you can't handle the reality and would rather just chant the mantra ,don't open the link.

I disagree that war is always morally indefensible.

If it weren't for the inaction, greed and incompetence of international organizations, none of this would have been necessary.

Re: Fallujah in pictures

I disagree that it is necessary.History has proven that the original argument for going to Iraq was a crock. All Bush has achieved is to open a can of worms that he can only control with genocide.

America should get the fuck out of other peoples' countries. This war, more than any in recent history, falls into the 'morally bankrupt' category.

Re: Fallujah in pictures

There's been much written in the media comparing "Fallujah in Pictures" as a counterpoint to the "US Military Slide Show".

http://www.juancole.com/2004/12/blog...s-air-war.html

...He contrasts the US military's powerpoint slides of the fighting in Fallujah (linked to at Soldiers for Truth) with Fallujah in Pictures, a web site hosted by an anonymous individual in New York, which put up disturbing pictures from the fighting that were not printed in US newspapers or shown on US television, but which were widely seen in the rest of the world. Ricks interviews experts who universally conclude that the blogger's presentation trumped that of the US military...

Wow Taranaki, so you've come to realize that war is not pretty. Its funny how that site shows Iraqis getting help from americans but it does not explains so in the caption. Funny how all they want to show is death and destruction on the Military's behalf. Where are all the pics of the beheadings and tortures of innocent people? We all know that war is hell Taranaki, no need to remind us.

Nobody is defending those. Even people on Iraq's "side" are upset about those. However, we should all feel the same way about the atrocities the US military has performed, as well...

Also, would those beheadings and tortures have happened if the US hadn't invaded in the first place? Are those deaths actually on the US's hands?

I have a feeling Fallujah is going to go down in history as one of the great world disasters...

I was commenting on your blanket statement that war is morally indefensible. If you only mean the Iraqi war then I'll still argue that point, but I wholeheartedly disagree that all wars are.

We will get the fuck out when the government asks us to get the fuck out. The fucking fuck is fucked as the fucking fuckers fuck with the fuckedy duck. The millions fucking dieing in fucking Africa are more fucked but we fucking do not fucking care because on fucking Iraq is on the fucking radar of the fucking fuckers fucking around in the backfucking wash of the fucking world.

Get real, Yogs. You can't expect anyone to take the wishes of a US installed government seriously. The 'government' of Iraq didn't invite you in,but you went in anyway[against the wishes of the UN],so don't pretend that 'we are doing what Iraq wants',because it's been shown to be a lie.

Oh My, people actually get hurt in a war? Who would have guessed? But the whole point of posting the pictures is to demoralize the good people of the US, nothing more. The Nazis did it, the Japanese did it, the NVA did it, and Taranaki did it.

Re: Fallujah in pictures

The whole point of not posting the pictures is to sanitise the situation and make it more pallatable for the good people of the US. The US military did it.....

You miss the point as usual.

The whole point of posting the picture is to counter some of the lies told to the American public by their own administration.

Iraq is not an arcade game.

The war on terror has turned into an exercise in subverting the population of Iraq and installing a puppet government.

In their haste to try and stop the opposition to American presence in Iraq, it has been deemed that anyone who gets in the way gets executed, and anyone who doesn't get out of the way quick enough deserves every stray bullet and cluster bomb that comes their way.

Bush would rather you stopped thinking of Iraqis as people.

These pictures are here to counter his lack of humanity.

The fact that Iwould sooner trust the UN than Bush is a measure of how corrupt, incompetent and cowardly I think he is.
