Sorry if its stupid, but I need help.

Okay guys the day is coming and a guy is coming to hopefully take these cars home with him. With the cash and help from relatives im going to upgrade from a GS to GSX and ive got a couple questions.

First of all i was looking for a 1995-96 GSX (or tsi awd) with semi high miles, that way it would be cheaper, and my family could just help me out with a rebuilt 6bolt motor. Is this adviseable? Or should i stick with the 7 bolt...i want power...and im just really paranoid about the whole crankwalk thing.

Second of all, if i did get the 6 bolt...Ive read in places about changing stuff back and forth between the 2g and 1g motors. I dont know if im going about it in the wrong way, but cant you just put the 1 g motor in and not have to deal with the crank angle sensor and all of that stuff? If it came with the harness and ecu and everything, couldnt you put the 1g ecu and wiring into the 2g?

Ok , this http://www.roadraceengineering.com/1gcasin2g.htm basically explains everything you need to do... but if there is nothing wrong with the motor dont swap it unless you plan on spending big dollars on a nice turbo setup...but if i were you i would drive the car as is...and then build the 6bolt as a project in your garage or somthing....then when the time comes drop that biotch in...

Thanks much...the road race engineering website was the one i was reading on when i got confused because they were using parts from both engines...but this should clear it up...Again...thanks alot man.
