Headers In Bb Nova
I want to put headers on my 396 in my 1971 nova. I was told to use Hooker 2457-hkr headers. Just wondering if anyone has done this in past and, wanted to know if it was alot of work or not to bad. Last of all did you get much of a change in performence and were these the right ones to use?
Thanks |

Re: Headers In Bb Nova
Ace, if Hooker recommends them, they will fit the car. You should see about a 20% power gain, if you re-jet accordingly. Dollar for dollar, headers are the best modification you can do to an old perormance car. BTW, Hooker is the best there is (IMO).

Ace your just in look, i just installed a pair of hooker competition headers on my 72 nova with a 396 (same body style as the 71). The only modifications that i had to make was that i had to clearance the power steering pump, i had 10 thousandths machined of of the mounting surface, the pump is still very (and i do mean very) close to the headers but it fits nice. You can see the headers in the pic of my motor below. Sorry for posting so late.
