Slam locks

I have a Renault Kangoo van with slam locks fitted to three doors. I slammed the side door shut one day and they all activated. I was not able to get in the van. All the auto electricians in my area were busy so I had to do something. Even the keys would not operate them. The next morning I came out and for some reason the back door opened, so I could remove the door panels and disconnect the locks. Only the passenger door lock now works with the central locking as this is probably not a slam lock. The others have to be manually locked.
I have checked the input to the locks and they are getting a lock unlock signal but they don't operate. I even tried earthing the locks direct in case the earth had gone faulty. No joy.
I had a new alarm system fitted the other day and the guy looked at them and didn,t understand it.
Any ideas. Could these be coded to my old alarm. There was a reset key point on my old alarm but I hadn,t got a key. Can these slam locks be coded to an alarm, or is that a different thing all together.
Any suggestions please?

Simon.
