LOW IDLE then stalls, need HELP!!!
I have a '98 DOHC 5spd neon... everything works fine except my idle speed seems to be really screwed-up!!! it ranges from 500rpm-2000rpm!!! Also, it OFTEN drops below 500rpm and stalls on me, ESPECIALLY when the motor is COLD (like when i first start it, it will stall unless i keep my foot on the pedal and give it a bit of gas for about 30secs)... not so bad once the motor is hot, but does it occasionally (like when i come to an intersection and step on the clutch!)
Any ideas what the problem could be???? |

1st things first...how's the fuel filter...2nd thing, make sure all your vacuum lines are good and intack...3rd to look into would be the EGR valve...

Found the problem...
I had a small leak in my PCV hose!!! Thanks for the help Phil  Last edited by 98neon98dohc; 12-08-2004 at 10:16 PM. |
