How do I adjust my timing?
Hey, me again. I have a 1991 Chevy S-10 Blazer 4x4, 4-door, 4.3L engine. I just put a new motor in and replaced most parts. I am wondering how do I adjust the timing on my motor. I know how to check it, I just don't know how to adjust it. I heard that I have to turn the distributor? If anyone can reply with more indepth information I would really appreciate it. Thank You everyone.

Disconnect the distriibutor from the ECM (tan wire under the passenger side carpet against the firewall) Loosen the dist bolt, time to 0 degrees TDC then lock down dist.

Re: How do I adjust my timing?
How do I get it adjusted to 0 degrees though? Isn't there something to where I can "tweak" to get the timing to zero?

Re: How do I adjust my timing?
Yes, loosen the distributor bolt, run the engine with a timing light, rotate the dist left or right until timing is proper, stop engine, tighten bolt, reconnect tan wire under carpet, close hood
