Re: the future

... It must be shipped directly to MotoRex if that is your little plan there. Christ, is it really worth it?

Buy an RPS13, and swap in an RB25DET... Ample power, car can be made to handle, and is much simpler than importing a car that you have never seen... Maybe aside from a few pictures, and some con artist who gives you his word that the car is in good shape.

So what happens when you wreck it? Where are you going to be expecting to get a new running board from?

Im telling you dude... Just wait until 2014, when the 25 year rule kicks in, and you can get a nice BNR32.

Get something you can work on, and something practical for this stage of your life. You think its fun having your life consumed by a car?

You have no idea... Its no fun man, I poured every bit of my time, and money into my first car, that I thought would be easy.

Turns out, I had no idea how to work on a Zed32... I bought it from some Cuban drug dealer out of Hollywood, Florida... Took his personal word that the car was 'Mint' saw a small picture of it. And ended up getting royally screwed.

Months later, I finally had the engine rebuilt, the wiring harness restored, and was driving it daily. I know that car like the back on my hand now... And I still couldnt get it right.

So after months of suffering trying to get this thing right, I ended up selling it to some guy on the otherside of town who stripped it for parts, and crushed it.

Thats the same thing that is going to happen to you bro.

Take your first car slowly... Your not as smart as you think you are, and it typically takes a huge hit to realize this... Thats what it took for me.

But if you really think you are going to make $27,000 in 3 years as a teenager... Good luck.

Just ask yourself, do you really feel like dumping EVERY BIT of your hard earned money into an uncertain deal?

... Hell... I sure wouldnt.

Just some words...

When the car arrives in ports you cannot drive it off the port only a RI can. Until then Customs will keep it and charge you for everyday it sits there.

you do have to have the car sent to motorex. there is no way around it, so your idea is complete stupidity and highly illegal. do you want to risk $250,000 in fines and possible jailtime for a car you coulve gotten legally, and gotten pretty damn fast for the price of the fines alone?

Excuse me?

Your entire reasoning is warped, you obviously do NOT know how to properly import a vehicle, and now you are trying to call me out on this? You're just on another long list of silly kids who think they have the answer to getting a precious Skyline into the States. Skylines arent all the great of a machine... There are plenty of cars in the States that can match its performance, for fractions of the cost. But you cant see past that, because they weren't in 2Fast2Queer, right?

Now... I know your a NEWBIE (thumbs up) but just because you've read a few posts on this forum, doesnt mean you know how to import.

So go jump back into your Yukon Denali that your daddy bought you. And for future reference, you shouldn't call someone out, unless you have some solid ground to stand on.

I hope your car gets sent back to Japan, and you lose all of your fathers hard earned money.

Re: the future

Your posts give me a headache man... Try some punctuation and proper spacing next time. Just for future reference.

Dude I dont need a website to find 'good deals on Skylines' I know private importers, and people who have been in the business for years. I could easily have a Skyline if I desired... Well easily is an overstatement... That is why I have chose not to.

Importing a Skyline privately is nerve racking, and very trying... It is not something I would suggest a kid to take on.

And for my plans pertaining to Skyline importation. Wait until the BNR32 is legal under the 25 year rule. Fly over to Japan, and personally hand pick one (I wouldnt trust someone to tell me otherwise). Make sure it is secured at the docks, and see it off.

4-6 Weeks later, it will arrive at the port, with all proper paper work, and will be released to me. Free of worry... No waiting for the RI to comply, no customs holding fee.

That is the easiest way to avoid all of the BS, and is what I would highly suggest to anyone, of any age.

I apologize if my previous post came off harsh, but it did appear as if you were calling me out, for simply trying to help you.

Im not trying to destroy your dreams... Just look at it from a practical angle, and dont jump into anything.

Re: Re: Re: the future

Ill do some math for man.

ok so you think you have costs figured out?

shipping yea its ranges from 900-3500. your how old.

then you have all those lovely taxes on almost everything. after that you will have insurance. all the wait time it sits in port for approx 1+ months. then shipping is 2+ weeks. Then custom inspection (hahahaha) atleast a month (you will be pulling your hair out at this time) then when it finally is discharged motorex will snatch it out from under your feet. But wait motorex is going under so how do u expect to accomplish this? If you honestly think its just about some basic shipping and legality prices your seriously mistaken. My moms friend who got the C32 amg before it came out and got it shipped to the states by the time it was released the car had already been on the road for 4 months. Thats a mercedes that didn't even have to be converted, just inspected.
