taking governor off chevy z71 silverado

yeah can anyone tell me how i can take the governor off of my truck it shuts down at 99 mph and i know a vortec v8 goes faster than that if someone can help me i would be much appritiated ..

yeah i know but i work at a race track on the weekends and we race all the time its not on the street just at the track

Get a Hypertech Power Programmer. The governor you're speaking of is known as the Top Speed Limiter. An HPP will probably run you about $300.
