1988 celica gt

Ok so heres the deal. I have found a 1988 celica with a great body. I mean great bno rust or anything. Engine is fine but it has 180,000miles on it.
Im wondering wat kinda parts are avilible for it and wat are the downfalls to the car. Will it have some nice power starting out. Wat should be my main project on the car. I have seen the newer celicas and i dont liek the way they look. Im going for more proformance than looks i dont really care wat it looks like i would rather have power than some lil light comming from the bottom of the car lol. My friend has a eclipse and it has some power i heard the celicas over rule the eclipses.

newer ones do, that one should have a 3sfe which is a decent motor, but not for racing

Well most of the people around here are just talk on proformance anyways so im pretty sure it doesnt need to be the best engine. Is there a turbo out the for it?

your best bet is to find out the exact engine in the car then google that engine for performance upgrades

Ok i will do that. Is there anything to watch for in the cars. Does anyone on here have one and can list wat they did to it?
