98 Wrangler Fan Belt

A little advise please.
What is the best way to change the fan belt on the six cylinder Wrangler
since the idler is not on a tensioner?

With that set up, check the alternator. It'll likely have a swingarm that has a bolt holding tension on the belts. There's probably another bolt at the "hinge" where the alt mounts to the engine block, you should loosen that one first, then the swingarm mount.

Sorry.......No swingarm......but I did find out today that you remove the idler @ the power steering pump, and horse it back on from that location ( ref alldata). Complete with photos..........
