well this sucks

ok when i bought my tires this summer they told me they rotate them for free....well i went in today to get them rotated and waited about two hours (wishing i would have done it myself) and then they pulled my car in and told me i couldnt rotate my tires unless i unmounted my tires changed rims and balanced them for 40.00, due to the fact that they r different offsets and my rims would rub my calipers if i put the back ones on the front. so i guess ill have to do that about every ten thousand miles or ill only get about 20000 miles out of those tires...sucks!!!... so do u guys know any good looking rims i can get for my 91 rs w/ four wheel discs (87 iroc rear) that r 16x8 and the same off set (that will clear front and back calipers) that look decent for about 600 or less cause im only 19 and kinda straped for cash! please help me out if u can

why rotate them. its just a waist of your time. i have had the same set of tires on my rs for 3 years, never been rotated, no wear.

i hardly ever rotate my tires... but when i do i just rotate side to side because front and rear wheels and tires are different sizes on camaros. trying to do a complete rotation is downright stupid, don't listen to what that shop tells u to do. if u really want to rotate them, just do it side to side...

Re: well this sucks

my tires arent different sizes though i got 245 50 16 all the way around and if u think about it wouldnt the back two wear alot more that the front two since those are the ones your actually putting power too??? and what about the rims cause i still want some rims on my car even disregarding the tire rotation

as far as i know, that even if u get new rims taht u will have to use different sizes on the front and back, unless u used some sort of spacer on the front since it has a bigger offset...
