Decisions and $$$

Okay...heres the story. Im selling my cars and my grandparents are helping me out a little. A guy I know is fixing to sell his 1995 GST and I was going to buy it with my own cash and use the extra $ to get it up to par, tires, timing belt, belts and other tune up things, and spend whatever is left over from that for other little goodies.

Anyways...my mom and I had a discussion about cars...and she said that she wasnt going to let me get a '95. She wants me to get an Acura Integra...but I talked her into a '97 GST. And I was just sortof wondering some stuff...

1) Is crankwalk % higher, lower, or exactly the same in the '97s?

2) Ive heard they dont take to mods as well...is this true?

3) About how much $ am I looking at spending on a decent miled, good shape 1997 GST?

Any help would be very appreciative...Thanks

Re: Decisions and $$$

both of them will take to mods better then a teg lol. the only difference between the 95 and the 97 is the bumpers adn that the 97 doesnt have a eprom ecu so if you want dsmlink or a chip you need to buy a eprom ecu. crankwalk should be the same for both of them which is to say not very likely. how much it will cost depends on where you live and how far you're willing to drive to get your gst.

off topic: why doesn't she want you to get a 95?

Re: Decisions and $$$

Yeah, I knew about the eprom...thats why I wanted the 95 anyways. And since it was just 5 minutes away, that was great.

But she doesnt want me to get it because its "almost 10 years old". She just got a new car and is on a newer car kick. I guess a 97 just sounds newer...haha. But hey...im cool with that. I just hope I can afford it.

Ohh yeah the other reason she doesnt want me to get the 95 is... I have a 95 eclipse gs and she thinks the gs and gst are the same thing. She finds it pointless to sell all my cars just to buy another 95 eclipse. She cant comprehend turbochargers...its really a good thing.
