Question Too much torque?

I have a '96 Eagle Vision ESI 3.3 when pulling out form a stop if i hit the gas real hard (like to try and beat traffic) i can hear almost like a clicking sound. It sounds like rounded off gears slipping across teeth. It stops if i let up on the gas a little. Replaced the engine and trans mounts (the trans mount alone was sitting about half an inch too low) once all three new mounts were in and we lowered the engine it now sit about 1 1/2 to 2 inches higher. This seemed to help it seems like it takes more torque to make whatever it is slip. But it's not gone. Any ideas as to what to try or have done to it next?

thanks

Re: Too much torque?

Either next time you do a tranny service or check the fluid, see if there are metallic shavings in your fluid.
