Need help with front sway bar

As the title says, I need a front sway bar for a 91-92 escort. I was told the other model years were different. If this isn't correct, please let me know. I will also try looking for one locally through a junkyaerd but we'll see what happens.

Also, can anyone help with its removal? It has cracked at the mounting points on both sides so its just kind of hanging there. whats the best way to get it off in the meantime while trying to find a new one. Anyone have instructions? I have a chiltons manual but it's kind of bad on the detals.

Re: Need help with front sway bar

http://www.ford-auto-parts-dealer.com/ Will have your part. Keep looking at the scrap yard though, brand new will cost you out the hole. I have the Haynes manual and its in pritty good detail. Step by step removal and instal. Try picking up one. You can ask anyone here and they will say Haynes, in fact thats what most mechs use.

Re: Need help with front sway bar

You are going to have to have a way to remove the old broken sway bar end links too..
(I.E. cutoff wheel or a torch)
