Re: cr-v suspension into a civic

I'm sure it could be done but that is going to cost a lot. I know that someone/company has used parts off a CRV drivetrain to make a RWD Integra.

Re: cr-v suspension into a civic

oh and it was a crx, not a 99 civic, and ive also seen someone make a Del Sol rear engine rear drive, but i wouldnt think that would handle well.

Re: cr-v suspension into a civic

One thing I completely missed, this is in the suspension forum and you want to swap the drivetrain not the suspension. Needs to be moved to tech forum.

Re: cr-v suspension into a civic

is it from the guy that makes the love fab manifolds? Yah his del sol wasn't impressive at all. couldn't even do a donut for the life of it, but then he said he needed to stiffen up the rear some more.

I moved this thread into the more approperate "Let's Get Techincal" forum and also replaced the word "suspension" with "drivetrain" in the title so when people read the thread title it better reflects the purpose of this thread. Hopefully this will help you get some helpful responses.

On a side note there was a place in Florida a few years ago that was trying to make an Integra 4wd. If I remember correct they scraped using certain CR-V parts due to difficulty and tried to get their hands on some rear 4wd Teg parts from Japan (there was a 4wd teg in japan @ one point, but not many were sold or made. It had a rather weak D16 motor and slushbox tranny I believe. SInce it's been awhile I'd have to look the information the info up again to be exact).
