seat adjust lever
Well as she got out of her car her seat belt wraped around the lever to recline and asjust the seat and now i have to fix it ..... she pulled on it hard enough that it broke the steel shaft the lever is conected to .... any thoughts on how to fix this can i order the parts or do i have to replace the whole seat.

You'll have to replace the recliner mechanism. Not that hard.
Your dealer should know which part to order. It is a very common repair. Keep the old handle though if you have it, the new recliner will not come with one. If you have lost the handle, order that while you are at it. Hope this helps. |

I had this happen to mine. You have to get the whole recliner mechanism like the post before me but i had to take the whole chair out of my truck take it in side and slowly take it apart.. pull the interior off it just to install it. you might want to plan on a couple of hours.

Please change the screw that attaches the handle. The original one is TOO LONG and this cracks the diecast part. The new GM replacement number is 88898909
