b16a idle fluxuation

when the engine warms up it idles from 1000-2000 rpms i replaced the pcv valve and this did not do the trick like i had hoped and i was told by hmotorsonline that i should take off the idle air control valve, clean it and lubricate it and that should solve it. i was also told that it could be a vaccum leak. are these both accurate solutions to the problem? if not does anybod have a solution?

Check for vacume leaks first, Get a spray bottle with some water in it and spray the vacume hoses while its running, if it evens out then replace that hose. Or just replace all of them I'm sure there getting old.

Re: b16a idle fluxuation

check for a vacuum leak. if theres no vacuum leak take off iacv and clean the little screen. if that doesnt work take off your intake and in the tb there should be 2 holes, plug the bottom hole and see if that stablizes the idle, if it does take off FITV and screw the center back in. do that and let us know if it fixes your idle

ok fellas well it was a vaccum leak. there was a cut in a line and the asswipes who put on my master cylinder did not put the o-ring back in so that was leaking vaccum pressure. not only that the screw on the throttlebody was a little off. everything is good now with the idle. thanks guys.
