The rear defrost on my '00 Neon is out. I can't seem 2 find the fuse either in the interior box or in the 1 under the hood. The dodge service dept. said it may not even have a fuse or may be a relay or a switch. It's getting really cold here and needed my rear defrost YESTERDAY!

Re: 2000 Neon - Rear Defrost is out. HELP!!!
You may want to closely inspect the defogger's "lines" in the rear window. If they get nicked and scratched (like from loading stuff in the car) the breaks will stop the heating circuit. A voltmeter can be used to verify it has voltage coming in (touch positive to the line, negative to good ground) and it can also used to track down the point of the break. If no voltage is coming in, I would say look for a fuse or a bad switch.
If you locate a break, the parts stores sell a repair kit. It is a special electrical conducting paint that you can repair the lines with. |

Re: 2000 Neon - Rear Defrost is out. HELP!!!
It doesn't seem to be the threads. Guess I'll have to try to track it to the switch. One day it was working (the light would come on), then the next it didn't. Probably just have to replace it. Thanks for the reply yogi!!!
