dpfi into mpfi question

i have a 1990 honda civic hatch with a sohc non vtec zc engine and it is dpfi for now a least. i am almost ready to do the mpfi but i have few questions.
i bought complete mpfi intake manifold from a 1990
got the pm6 ecu that i belive is from 88-89 part# 37820-PM6-A08O
injector resistor box
I want to get the distributor but they vary from 88-89 to 90-91
which one should i get?
can i use 1990 si distributor with 88-89 ecu?

Re: dpfi into mpfi question

You can use the distributor with the ecu, but you cant use the distributor with the motor, your going to have to have a ZC distributor. I didnt even think you could bolt a duel point manifold to a ZC motor. Are you sure thats what you have?

If I'm not mistaken, I though the sohc non vtec zc was mpfi stock.

Re: dpfi into mpfi question

And YES - you can use a SI distributor with the sohc motor - the sohc non vtec 1.6l motor is the SI motor. It's the D16A6. The DOHC zc motor is the one that has the different distro.
