Re: 1.8L to a 2.0L engine swap

you need to change the wiring harness and the ecu. the 1.8 has a different set of sensors then the 2.0

Re: 1.8L to a 2.0L engine swap

I just did the same thing. You will have to do ecu, wiring harness motormounts and fuel pump sensor which is under the dash by your ECU...

hey matth how long did it take you to do the swap? were there any problems or custom fab needed or was it just swapping the stuff from one car to the other. i have a 1.8 and a 2.0 so i have all the parts i need.

We are still working on it right now. It only took about a day to take out 1.8 and put in 2.0 . But my problem now is I am getting no spark . I have put in new coil packs and still nothing it will crank but will not start and run. I am geting fuel to my injectors. been missing with this problem for about two weeks now and getting very frustrated and I am starting to sell everything....ANY IDEAS......
