Question Low Trac Light; acceleration gaps

My low trac light comes on when I put my car in reverse, almost every time I start up. It usually goes off after I put it in drive and move forward 10 yards or so. What scares me is the gaps in acceleration when I begin driving. It feels like the gas line is temporarily disconnected, except the misses are barely noticeable. Not like running out of gas, just very subtle. The two problems seem to be related since that only lasts a second as well. Does anyone have ideas?

Re: Low Trac Light; acceleration gaps

Well the gaps you are describing is your car thinking that its not getting traction...so it cuts engine power for a brief second...(happens when the light comes on)...i would say that one of the sensors for traction control is going bad....could be a wheel speed sensor...could be anything...id have someone look at it.
