used car under 7500

I am looking to get a used car for under 7500. I have been looking at 300zx's but am having a hard time finding one with decent milage for the price I want. I don't know much about the 240sx but maybe this is the way to go. If anyone could give me any information on the 240sx or recommend any other cars this would be greatly appreciated. I would like something that is sporty and fast.

Re: used car under 7500

Sometimes Milage isn't always what you look for. A car that has usually been through allot may be in your best interest to look for something with quite a bit of milage on it. That way you know the motor has been overhauled. Look and see how many owners have had the car, and what they have done with it. People will sale a car with high milage, but may have a brand new motor with 10,000 miles. Everything else in the vehicle would have the same ware and tare as a vehicle of that age. Overlook the milage, and spend more time figureing out the cars past. Good Luck.

well coming from a 300zx owner, dont purchase a 300zx owner if you do not have the money to keep it running. its not that the 300zx is a unreliable car but a car of that calibur does tend to have maintenance problems every once in a while. if you have money to throw at it when something breaks, by all means buy one and enjoy the fun and fast z life. the motor in the n/a will last upwards of 200k miles without serious problems. for $7500 you should be able to find yourself a very nice and well kept n/a and still have about $1500 left over for mods or back-up money.

the 240sx is more of a reliable car and you can also pick up a newer one for $7500. a well kept 95-98 240sx could be had for that kind of money. in the long run its one of your more reliable cars.

before you buy, make sure you research...research....research. visit the 240sx forum and read the stickys and search through the threads. do the same with the 300zx in the past z forums. alot of good information in those places. feel free to ask questions. good luck...and you came to the right place to find info on what your looking for.
