how to install a CAI ??? HELP
hey folks.
now i always installed intakes but its my first time reaching a cold air intake (long ram), its by mugen. it has two pipes, for temporary use and since i neded the car running to goto work i only placed the first half bolted on and then put the filter on it then went to work, now i wanna install the second half which reaches the lower part of the car but i am having a problem how i look at every hole and twist the second half pipe in every angle it doesn't work, although i seen a couple of guys who had thei mugen same kind of intake installed on same year of car just like mine. please reply fast thanx. i drive a 00 civic dx need help how to put second half of pipe and from where.... |

It does help to remove the bumper AND did you remove the resonator which is below that hole in the passenger fenderwell? That could be your proble,.

Remove your Bumper by removing the plastic screws above your grille, then the screws in the wheel well, once you do that remove the resonator (big plastic box infront of the passenger tire) once you do that attach the 2 intake pipes together so the 2nd pipe fits down into the resonator compartment, attach the filter and replace the bumper...your car should be equiped with a splash guard so you dont really need a bypass valve, but if it doesnt have a splash guard and you are prone to drive thru puddles you might want to invest in one just to be safe...good luck...if i missed anything...im sure someone else will assist.
