93 Civic... died, wont start

Ok.. here's the history.. I bought this car like 2 months ago. It has always had a LITTLE trouble starting.. (Crank for 5 seconds, turn completly off then crank again, vroom)

Then, usually my 1st start of the day, it sputters very bad during acceleration like it is losing fuel or something, then when it hits a higher RPM will just take off. (fuel pump?)

So, this was the only problem really.. until i came home from a long drive the other day.. I was coasting to a stop with it in nuetral then all my lights on my dash came on.. DIdnt sputter or anything, and just shut off.. I could not come close to starting it after that... I ALSO smelled something electrical that was burning it seemed, but couldnt locate where. I think maybe in the ECU area (not sure)

I replaced the main relay (brand new from Honda) and its still doing this same thing.. ALSO, my check enging light does NOT go off when the key is on, so I dont think the fuel pump is working.. The ECU when jumped shows no codes.. just a check engine light constantly on.

Please help me as much as you can guys!! I appreciate it.

ALSO... no spark

I just tested for spark.. and NONE.. So that too.. Does anyone know what an EDU is? and where it is? I read a post in this forum from someone that had this same problem.. and it was a "capacitor" in his EDU that went out. If anyone knows where I can find that .. please let me know.

My guess is this is the ECU.. I'll put a new one in tomorrow... I'll let you guys know.

Yes

Yes, I bought a used ECU from the junkyard.. Plugged it in.. works great. You should have seen the other one.. Something caught on fire in there or something.. lots of burnt circuit board.
