What do you think???

I have a 97 Civic EX and i have a panasonic deck that puts out 50Wx4 at peak, but more towards 20W rms. I want to know if i can find an amp that will run 3 sets of speakers almost as a surround system. Is there an amp that has like 6 channels. I'm currently running Alpine Type S 6.25 up front in the doors and Alpine Type R 6x9's in the rear deck. I plan to put my set of AudioBahn 5x7s in the rear sides where the door would be on a 4door. Is it possible to get surround from an amp and deck and still get clear sound. I also hope to get better base from the 6x9's in the back. This is kind of technical, but someone should know.

ok you need to find the RMS ratings for the speakers. Id cross over those 6.5s cause they cant produce good base, so let them work in their strong range - highs and mids. The 6x9/5x7's will produe more and clearer bass amped, but they wont "bump" if you wanna bump you need sub(s) period. If you do put subs in the back put baffles around the 6/9s to keep the pressure from the subs from distorting them. As for the amp situation here is an audiobahn 6 channel amp. Its 75 watts at 4 ohms and most speakers are 4. Its a bit pricey so here is another option. Let the headunit drive those 6.5's which will work fine, get a 2 channel amp that does something like 200 x 2 at 4 ohms RMS. wire the 4 other speakers (if their all 4 ohms) in a parallel series and hook that whole pack up to one channel, which will be 50 RMS to each which twice what the head unit does, then hook a 200 RMS 4ohm sub up to the other channel. But its up to you, and how much money you want to spend. Hope that helps.

There are many 6 channel amps, but you aren't really going to get the "surrond sound" that you are looking for no matter what you do. You won't get a whole lot of bass out of those 6x9's. Even if you do get a 6 channel amp your rear door speakers and rear speakers will both play the same sound because you still only have 1 set of front and 1 set of rear preamp outputs. You would have to split the rear RCA'S. You'd be better off getting a 4 channel amp. Something like this http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Uibwy5s...120&I=489AP740 and running the front speakers off of 2 channels getting 60 watts each. Then wire the rears to 2 ohms to send them each 45 watts. You'll get the same sound staging that you'd get out of a 6 channel amp and it would be much cheaper. Just an Idea.
