2000 grandam dome, feet, lights under rear view
dome, feet, lights under rear view will not turn off when the doors are closed, the dome light will turn off if in the off position. the door sensors work becuase the car chimes when the doors are open and stops when you close them. any ideas?

The door chime only works in regards to the driver door. It has an additional circuit on it for that. I know this may sound like a ridiculus suggestion, but is your dimmer switch turned to full so that the dome lights stay on? If not it could be a bad relay in the dome light circuit, or a pinched wire which is shorting out to ground, or.....
Once you check to make sure that it's not the dimmer/dome light switch, have you added anything aftermarket to the car? Like a stereo or alarm system, etc...? It is possible to pinch wires when removing/replacing panels to complete an installation of something. Marc
