1g 2g??
I hear a lot of talk about 1G and 2G. What do they mean? I'm taking it that it's something to do with generation 1 or 2 or something like that, but just curious? I have a 95 Talon TSI what is that considered?

Re: 1g 2g??
You are exactly right. 90-94 is first gen, 95-99 is second gen, etc. So you have a 2g. I believe this is also explained in the sticky thread at the top of the page by the way.

Re: 1g 2g??
1g eclipse is beggning of the dsm. 90-94. their the old lighter bodystyle. 2g's are the end of the joint venture 95-99. im not possitive on the last production date between eagle/plim/mitsu. yours is a send generation "2g"
ps. your more then likley have a eprom ecu in your car. 95's are the only 2g dsm that have chipable ecu's. there are alot of differnces between the 1g and 2g. you can look here to see some of them. http://www.darklightning.com/gi/1gvs2g.htm
