91 s10 blazer 2wd. my tires are barely a year old and my rear
two are both showing wires on the inside. what causes a tire to wear like that? rotated them about 6 months ago and didnt notice it. fronts are fine just the rear tires. like to fix problem before i get new tires. |

Re: uneven tire wear
You'll need 2 new tires anyways, so why not get that probably much needed alinement and they'll tell you.
back tires normally only wear out like that if you don't have them properly inflated, or drive like an ass, or have something bent. |

Re: uneven tire wear
Ohh, so your wife doesn't live up to your name!!! That's good, and I'm sure you don't either
get a 4 wheel alinement, and you'll know for sure. I don't think that anyone does just the front end any more. I personally like to get an alinement twice a year on my daily driver... when I switch from summers to winters, and back. Plus whenever I get new tires with S-10's and anything with a solid rear axle it's very uncommon for the tire wear that you, mentioned unless the person drives fast around corners... and then they should expect that wear. I imagine that you keep a close enough eye on her tire pressure, although low pressure will usually wear the tire out on both sides So I'd almost expect something to have somehow been bent. Possibly some really worn out bushings might be the cause too. good luck with it |
