trunk rattles with bass
i know that this is a common problem, but where does most of the rattles heard from the outside of the car come from when the bass hits hard? its a sedan if that helps. hopefully someone can help me and fnd where the rattles come from and how to quiet some of them down. thanks

its probably the trunk lid itself vibrating, have someone hold it while your system is on and see how much the vibration stops

well some ppl have the problem of their lisence plate rattling but i dont know if you have a stock system or a modded one but check and see if thats whats rattling...try zx2srdotnet's too b/c it can be the latch or the brackets holding the trunk you never know. let me know if this helps

i had someone sit on the truck and push in from the outside and push out from the inside but i can't stop the rattling.
oh well, at least it sounds good from the inside thanks |

sorry i couldnt be of more help dude thats all i could think of thats rattleing unless its your bumper that loose or something

yea i got a 2000 se, i dont think that there is much you can do about the acctual trunk rattling, and i got a wing on there 2 and that rattles also, but i did find that the back dash comes up a lil bit a the bery back and at certain tones it will acctuallyrattle and hit the back window, so i went to a car part store and got some foam insulator tape stuff and just took my back dash out (which is a job and a a half, i dont think they wanted you 2 do that) and then just put a strip of that at the bottom of my window, and i have my windows tinted so you cant really see it all that much. Plus the top thing on ur roof, idk what its called but i just stuck a rag in there at the back window, and that killed that rattle.
