Traction with Sport Package

I'm buying a 330i, and I'm going to pay around $530 a month. I could get the Prem Package, with step, xenon, and heated seats. Or, Prem Pacakge, Sport Package, 5spd man, xenon and heated seats. Both come out around the same. I'd love to have the sport package, but I live in Pennsylvania, and I was wondering if I order the sport package, with the sport wheels and tires, will it significantly reduce my traction in the snow? BTW, it would be metallic black, with natural brown leather.

Well personally I'd go with the SP because I love the look of the M68 wheels that come with the SP. I think that with either the 17''ers on the SP or the 16''ers on the stock you are going to want snow tires in the winter. With snows I think the SP should be just fine.

The real question based on the two configurations seems to be whether you want a slushbox or you want to shift like a REAL driver.

Sport Package

I Live in Canada with a M3, 17" and traction control. It does not work in the winter snow. However like quite a lot of Bimmer owerners I went with a set of winters. That's my suggestion to you. Buy the sport package, then a set of winters next year.
