99 Blazer - Squealing Noise on Back Driver Tire

My 99 Blazer seems to be making a squealing noise on the back drive side tire. Thought this was the indicator for the brakes, so had new brakes put on, but the noise is still there. Can’t seem to figure out why this is squealing like this, and it’s only when you are driving the car. When you apply the brakes the noise goes away. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be? Thank you!!

Did you ensure the bracket that holds the pads was clean and the pistons were clean? Also did you apply anti-seize/brake quiet to the backs of the pads?

Re: 99 Blazer - Squealing Noise on Back Driver Tire

This sounds like a shoe is dragging.

Take it back to whomever installed them and have them inspect and fix the problem.
