new kid on the block needs help!!

ok you guys have probably answered this question a million times....so once more wont hurt.

What are spoon eninges? How much bhp and rpm does a b16a spoon engine give out??

Finally, i own a 1.5 civic 3dr HB, and it looks amazing from the outsaide (F&F style) and so every one tries it on at the lights. And as you can imagine after gettin my ass whooped I am PISSED OFF!! So am thinking of engine conversion. Looking at spoon b16a simply cuz it was mentioned in F&F. what do you guys think and recommend??

Thanks!

Basically, its either a B16B stroked to 1.8liters or a B18C stroked to 2.0liters. They use a thin headgasket and the whole assembly is balanced. really expensive though.

Ask these people...here.

Re: new kid on the block needs help!!

You can buy one for like $6,000 and they have a whopping 196hp and 9,000rpm redline or something... btw if you know anything about cars outside of Hollywood, you'll quickly begin to hate that movie.

If they mentioned a dx engine with an intake would that be your next big buy?

So if it's been answered a million times then it wouldn't be too hard to find the answer for would it? :cough: idiot :cough:

Actually a decent question not asked in a ignorant way. However this could be answered on your own free time if you were capable of using Google. (that's google.com if you didn't know) Re-reading this i have to comment on the rpm statement. How much rpm an engine puts out has nothing to do how powerful the engine is itself, its correlated with how much (in easy terms) the gas pedal is down. The correct question might be "at what point do they redline at?", to which i'm even hesitant to ask if you know what that means.

This is where you lose it. I won't even start on the grammar. I also don't even know where to start. Why not put that money that made your car look awesome (which by the way, is probably only your opinion) and invest in some mods to improve performance? Did you actually expect to get your looking like the ones in that movie and expect it to magically go faster? Guys like you make it fun for us who prefer to have sleepers. Though your car may get more attention from viewers, my ride with a similar stock civic engine would eat yours alive, and i don't even have that much done to it. Why would you be "PISSED OFF"? May it be because you just realized civics aren't naturally fast even with a body kit?! The 1.5 you put in your quote, 1.5 what? "HI! I own a one and a half three door civic!" Yes, I know you mean liters.

Engine "swap", not conversion. I don't think or know that a conversion is possible. The b20 with the crv head is close to a conversion i think, I don't know much about that one. I don't think its the b20. OH! I know where i can get my facts straight, by using the Search function and researching it myself! I believed they mentioned NOS in that movie. Are you only going to go looking for the infamous blue bottle now? Because there are other brands of "nitrous" as well. To take things out of a movie that was made a few years ago not only shows your lack of knowledge, but no originality either.

You're welcome dickhead.

I take back my comment on the age of 15. I have to bump it up to 16 due to laws regarding what age you can and can't drive at.

Although it may seem a little harsh Whiteracer is right- where in the hell did you think the speed would come from by making your car "look" fast? They are also right on the search function thing too- it works wonders. Also if you want people to keep answering your questions calling them names won't help. If you are serious about wanting to make your car fast do some research, go to shops and ask questions, and be ready to drop some cash cuz its gonna be a little more expensive than adding stickers, a kit, and a wing. Good luck and I hope you realize that movies-esp. F&F- are exaggerations- its a lot harder in the real world. And don't ask me why they wont just answer the question real quick and get it over with- my suggestion don't mention F&F again that might help. PEACE!!!

yeah, the first time I watched that movie I was so blinded by the nice cars that I didnt even pay attention to the details that I now see and laugh when i watch the movie. "sr20's would come up prime 3 days before racewars" as they are looking at empty civic engine bays and when hectar is gonna run spoon engines with T66 turbos and "NOS"
"my car topped out at 140mph today" you see the speedo hit 140, then from outside the car you hear/see him acclerate more and hear him shift again???

I still like the movie but just about everything in the movie is a big lie.

you fucking assholes. Did i say that the speed would come from modifying the exterior....err NO! All I said was that I had done the exterior and now I am interested in doing the engine. You guys are going on about F&F but for most people who had never been interested in cars (like me) that car sparked an interest. Therefore initially, yes I did want my car to be like the F&F so I spent my money making it look good. Upon making that I realised that its not about thye looks but the engine and so now I want to do the eninge up.

Furthermore, just because I dont know much about engines and I dont use the correct terminology (i.e "how much rpm" oh sorry that should say what rpm does it redline at....forgive me for my ignorance you twat) does not mean you can laugh at me. At;east I am willing to learn and enquire about stuff.

Now, to the search engine crap. I have searched on engines for answeres to my questions on spoon engines and have found sites such as the spoon europe site but these websites have not answered my questions. So I thought I would ask on a forum .....which as far as I know is designed for people with a common INTEREST (not immense KNOWLEDGE) can talk about paticular or general things and ask questions which they are unsure about to which they will receive their answer quickly and with ease. Or then again it could have been designed for arrogant pricks like whiteracer who know everything about cars but fuck all about anything else.

In furtherance to what I have already said I would like to offer my sinceresr apologies for the grammar I implemented. I was mistaken to think that this was a casual forum rather than a (fucking) English language examination. Due to my misunderstanding I began to stray away from the grammatical rules and started to begin sentences with the word AND. Oh my god I hope the grammar police do not come and punish me too severely but more importantly will God ever be able to forgives me for this?

Ra227, I respect what you have said but just want to comment that I did not think my car would go faster by adding stickers. Secondly, I spent alot of money on the exterior and know that the engine issue will cost much more.

You see, whiteracer your just a dickhead! You could have easily just answered the question and said to me that the best way to learn is to do research but you had to be a prick along with a few others.

You made many assumptions about me because your a stuck up knob. You assumed I modified my car exterior thinking it would make it fster, you assumed I was from the United Stets of Dickheads like you but im not. Im from the UK and as far as I know everyone refers to 1500cc engines as 1.5 only a fucking dickhead like yourself would say, "1.5 what? "HI! I own a one and a half three door civic!" Evryone knows what we mean by 1.5 and so do you and hence nobody writes the litres after it.

So basically, in conclusion whiteracer your a cock sucking gay bastard! So this is how its going down...
FUCK JEFFC
FUCK RICOCHET
AND FUCK WHITE RACER AND FUCK YOUR MOM.

As to the rest of you all who tried to help me, thanks.
