I have a 92-95 Grand AM SE and I need to replace the bulbs in the 3rd break light. However, I can't remove the plastic that covers the 3rd break light. I was pulling so hard that I thought I was going to rip out the whole unit.
Thank you very much for the instructions!!!! |

Re: Removing Plastic from the 3rd Break Light
If it's mounted on the back dash (not to familiar with that year) there will probably be two nuts that are accessible from inside the trunk just underneath the unit that are holding it in place. If not, you will probably at least be able to have a better view of how it is held in place at least.

Grab one side and pull down slightly while holding the other side. It is held on by a metal clip on each side. It will come out, but needs a bit of force. If it is that tight, once you get it out, I would suggest crimping the clip a bit to narrow it a bit so it comes out easier the next time.
