Whats a B16a only worth?

I can get a complete B16a with ECU, Loom, and axles for about US$850 shipped to the states. Then I think theres then about US$250 worth of customs crap for the buyer to pay.

So total cost landed in the states for motor only is about US$1,000-1,1000.

Is that a good price?

I need to either get a new g/box, or get mine reco'd. Problem is the only box I can find is attached to an engine, and wont be sold separatly. So if I can buy the lot, and then sell the engine for about half the combinded price and I dont lose out with an engine I dont need.

Its also a lot cheaper than getting mine reco'd.

What's a loom?
Here a complete swap package will run about $1250. That's for the engine, tranny, ecu, axles, mounts, sensors, and shift linkage.

Becareful when dealing with that site. I have heard some really bad horror stories about that place. Then again, some other guys may say that they had never had a problem with Steve. So just giving you a warning.

I think that statement applies to just about every site that sells engines.

Hmmm, damn you Americans for buying all the JDM engines, and driving up the prices down here!

I guess that including shipping US$8-900 sounds better. But that makes the g/box that I need worth as much as the engine, wiring loom and axles. Thats one damn expensive g/box.

Thanks to a dick head dealer who put the wrong oil in my g/box I have no snychros on 3rd, and worn ones on 4th and 5th. THERE not cheap to replace. About the cost of another g/box.
But I cant get a g/box with out buying the complete swap, ECU, Axles, mounts ENGINE etc.
