Interior lights

When I turn off my 1992 Grand Marquis LS the interior lights stay on. The doors are all shut tightly! Is there a switch that can fail that would be a simple fix. Currently I have removed the fuse to save my battery.

Re: Interior lights

I'd check simple stuff first - like is the light switch on the dash on? Then, I'd check the door switches to see if they're not functioning properly. Something somewhere is telling the lights to be on.

Does your car have the delay switch that keeps the lights on for a bit after you close the doors? That could be bad also, so check any fuses that go for that system.
