Cool Check out my new toy guys

Ok first off I know this isnt a camaro but I had to show you guys my new toy. I was told at first it was a 43, then I was told it was a 55 but its actually a 49 with a flathead with a 3 speed on the floor in her so I'm gonna have me some fun with this one..... Now it needs some work most of it looks to be cosmetic because its been setting since 1968 but the tires still hold air and the engine looks to be in good shape. Hey for $500.00 its worth it. While I was there My freind showed me a 67 maro that were going to try to ge, its in very sad shape because people have stolen parts off of it but she could be brought back with some time and alot of work.

$500 bucks for a 1949 ford truck in the shape its in is a steal man exspecaily with it having a flathead in it. Sure it needs some body work but what 1949 vehicle doesnt, maybe your to young to appreciate a vehicle of this nature.

Thumbs up

Accually, good find on that one. Even if it is banged up and what not. The fact that it has a flathead v-8 in it makes it worth money.

The flatheads DOMINATED the racing scene back in the day... Untill Buick introduced the 401 cid vave in head design Nail head. Long Live the Buick Nail heads

i think you should put all of your money into the chassis and drivetrain. built a 500+ hp engine backed with a nice tranny and rear end, paint it all to look nice, and leave the body alone. imagine the look on people faces when you blow there doors off with an ugly 49 beater.

LOL come on guys, now if I was trying to fix up the 67 camaro I found there I would agree with you. The pics dont do it any justice, its really not in that bad of shape. The worse part on the truck is the hood and it has a big dent from where a branch fell across it from a tree falling over, other than that its in decent shape. I'll put a pic up of the 67 maro so you guys can compare the 2 and then you'll see why I want the truck..... LOL
