98 Grand Cherokee speakers
I've blown the two rear speakers in my 98 Grand Cherokee and the dealership said it would be almost $500 to replace them. Can I go to a car stereo store and have them do the same thing for cheaper?

Re: 98 Grand Cherokee speakers
Oh hell yes, you can get way better than the stock ones for about half the price. I had Boston Acoustics put in my 98 JGC Limited and it sounded awesome.

It is really easy to replace them. just pop off the innerdoor panal ( I believe there are 2 or 3 screws and a ton of snaps. I replaced all my speakers with some infinity kappa perfects 6.1 components front and back. Even the cheaper aftermarket speakers are often better then stock.

Re: 98 Grand Cherokee speakers
NICE!!! I didn't know what I was going to do about this. My sound system sounds horrendous right now. Should I replace all of the speakers even though the back two are the only ones in bad shape, or should I leave those alone?

Re: 98 Grand Cherokee speakers
I'd say -- Replace the broken ones and see how it sounds, if the other speakers don't pull their weight replace them when you get the chance...
