Hmmm... what a coincidence. That's exactly what I've been searching the net high and low for. Pinouts for my 91 that don't run.

I have two 91 GT's; one runs and one doesn't. The one that doesn't has no spark. (and is apparently possessed by wiring gremlins)

The dead one had a junkyard motor installed by someone else after it overheated and blew the original motor. Everything appears to be hooked up correctly, but, there is no 5 volt reference to either the crank or cam sensors in the distributor. As such, it won't fire the ignition module.

The wires going from the distributor to the computer (yellow/dark blue) and (white) check out ok with an ohmmeter. On my 91 that runs, these two wires show 5 volts when the ignition is on (plug disconnected from the distributor). The dead car has nothing on these wires.

I even went so far as to pull the cover off the computer and check for 5 volts inside where these two wires hook up on the PC board... still nothing.

I have checked all components from the dead car by installing them on the live one. They all work... distributor, ignition module, coil, computer, etc.

And vice versa... took the stuff from the good car and installed it on the dead one... still no run. Grrr....

So I'm now thinking that there must a problem on another wire(s) that supply power or signals to the computer... I have been over every inch of the ignition circuit and this one truly has me stumped.

I bought a Haynes manual just because it had a schematic in it. What a worthless piece of crap book. No pinouts... no troubleshooting flow charts... no nothing!!! They just advise you to take the car to the dealer for most of the things that you'd buy the dang manual for.

At any rate, if you've found the pinout schematic, I sure could use a copy. And if not, I'm going to the Ford dealer tomorrow to see if they'll let me sneak a peek at their book. I'll send it your way if I find it.
