Re: help guys!! my car wont start!!
Is the ECU throwing any codes?
Did you check the timing belt? Also did you check to see if you have a good engine ground?

id be willing to bet its your distributor rotor. the screw holding it on probably fell off. it happened to me a while back.

Re: help guys!! my car wont start!!
To check the timing belt you need to take off the valve cover and the timing belt cover on the CRX. If it snapped than it will be obvious

my car did the same thing while i was driving. It jus cut off on me and wouldnt start nomore and that was like a month ago. havent got it fixed yet been having problems. But i changed the module and i tested the coil and that was good. I had new spark plugs, wires, rotor, and the cap itself. But now i still dont get no spark to the spark plugs and i think the ground is horrible for the engine on mine but im not sure. Anyone got any suggestions.
sry didnt wanna post the same question. i think i might have pics. |

If you don't want to take the valve cover and timing cover off to check the belt you can just take the distributer (dizzy) cap off and see if the rotor turns when you start the car. If the rotor doesn't turn your timing belt probably snapped. While you're there you can check to see if the rotor screw fell out (causing the rotor to stop turning and in turn causing the engine to stop). GL |

Re: help guys!! my car wont start!!
The rotor doesn't spin? Did the rotor screw fall out?
