Question Engine swap --> 2.4 out --> 3.4 in...???

How hard is it to swap my 2.4l out for tha 3.4 v6?!?!?!?

okay i understand i gotta swap tha engine/tranny/ecu - but what about tha rear end..? - do i have to get s diff rear end for my truck or what?
~~~~
Every1 is telling me i shoudl just sell my mini taco, cuz i cant tow anything w/ it.. But its not worth tha $$ to try & sell it & get a new one .. if tha swap is cheaper..
--- i want to swap a engine in that will be able to tow a 2500 car...
~~~~

I currently have a 97 tacoma lx (5spd, 2.4L, 2wd, No A/C, 111K miles) - w/ a 3" body lift & 29" tires -- please help me out here. thanks

Re: Engine swap --> 2.4 out --> 3.4 in...???

i got my 99 SR5 x-cab 4x4 for $9,000 but its a 4 cyl. i wouldnt be towing nothing heavy with a tacoma, i tried towing a car on a dolly with mine and every bump i hit the front wheels would almost pop off the ground....its dangerous. you need something heavier like a dodge ram with a hemi!

i forgot, you may be better off just to get a 4x4 tacoma with a v6, you would be out a lot of money, time, and its a lot of trouble.

If your goal is just to tow ~2500 lbs, have you thought about adding a turbo and re-gearing? It would probably be a few thousand less than the 3.4 conversion.
