97 Crown Victoria ignition cyclinder will not rotate
When I insert the key in the ignition switch I can not rotate to unlock the wheel or start the car. I have;
removed pressure from the locking pin by moving the steering wheel. put pressure on the key and cyclinder in all directions including pushing in on the key. using 3 different keys. When problem started happening it was intermittant and would always work with pressure towards the column. It is now stuck and I may have to have the car towed to a dealer, lock smith, or general mechanic. Is this something I can repair my self? if not where would the most cost effective repair be done at? Thanks for your input, Robert |
