lights, idle, radio dims when ...

my lights, radio and idle dims when I press on the brakes. Before I really dive into this, I was wondering if anyone knew what the most probable cause would be? Is it my alternator? A short somewhere? Thanks for the help.

Rick

sounds like alternator, go to Autozone or Pep Boys and have them check it out. They'll do it for free.

ok, thanks for the replies. I drove it home and now it wont start. no lights, no nothing. I feel confident my alternator has gone bad and drained my battery. I'll let you guys know the out come.

final thread ..... loose postive terminal. It seemed a little loose, I guess the miller lite clouded my thought sequence for a few minutes. Anyways, tightened the loose connection on the battery. Went to Advance Auto, they tested my alternator and battery, they were good. All is good in the AEM C!V!C world.

The End.

heh, did that in my Fr0d Tempo...

i miss that car, only one i've ever had that was a power-monster (at least when the engine was cold)

also the most fun i've ever had in a 5-spd, considering i literally didn't care what happened to the car
