A kill, a death, and a high speed run

So I finally got my Mp3 stereo hookup working, and wanted to test it out, so I went for a quick run to and from Kingdom city. Wasn't looking for any races, but they just seemed to find me, go fig. All in all, it was a good set of runs, so, read on.

Race one was the kill. I was getting on buisness 54 when a sleek looking car flew by, so, me being the testastorne filled bastard that I am, took off after the car. Turns out its one of the I4 Cougars, looks stock to me. I pop into triptronic, and it kicks in at high third. I'm right next to him, trying to get his attention. I finally get it, and point ahead. He nods, and honks us off. On the third honk, I decide to be an ass, and instead of punching it, I just hold right next to him. We stay side by side up to 80 (from 60), and then I punch it. I bring it up to 110, and put about four lengths or so on him.

We're about to run again, when, for some reason, I have a bad feeling about running. I pull off, and let him fly off. He speeds away, going fast enough to put a good amount of distance on me at 75, and disapears. When I pull over a hill, hes on the side of the road, out of his car, with a squad car right behind him, getting cuffed. I laughed a little, and kept on going, I think I saw him point at me when I drove by.

At the light comming off 54 at Kingdom City, I pull next to a silver 330i, I think with the sport package (looked like it had the aerodynamic kit, and I can tell it had the standard). I look over and nod, honking, and the driver looks back, and smile and nods. When the light turned green, I launched up to the next light, and when he pulled up next to me, he was laughing and nodded again. This time, he revs at me, and I rev back. When the light went green, he spins the tires off the line, and walks me the entire way. I was laughing the entire time, and when he pulled of, I look over and he is too. He waves, and I slow down so I can turn around and head back home.

Now, the final race was more of me putting someone in their place (lol). For what seems like the umpteenth f*ckin time, andother truck is messing with me. I dunno why, they just seem to do it. After I turned around, I was heading back towards Kingdom, going about 75, and this big ol F-350 quad/extended/whatever cab on mud tires and what not runs up on me, slams on his brakes, honks, then swerves around me, and accelerates away. Or, I should say, tried to accelerate away.

As soon as he did this, I jumped on it, hard, and bassically stopped his pull from me. In fact, by 85, I had closed a three carlength gap in about 2 seconds, and by 90, his nose was at my rear bumper. But, thats not good enough for me. I keep on it, and by 120, I'm a good three or four bus lengths up...like, I can hardly see his headlights. I catch a red light, and he must of really been on it, becuase he manages to get next to me at the red light. The guy rolls down his window, and his buddy leans out and starts shouting at me. I got the window up, and I'm just watching the light.

When the light went green, I jumped on, got a good launch, and walk away. I keep on it, risking the cops (hey, I could always say some crazy guy in a big truck was chasing me!), and run all the way up to 129. He's non existant behind me now, and I keep on it till I get to my exit. I get off the highway, and head on home. Not a bad night, but like, the third or fourth time some guy in a truck or SUV has almost run me off the road or done something stupid...

Yeah but for every one of those stories, there is another one about having to talk your way out of a ticket...at least in my case.
Glad to hear luck was on your side this time.

Re: A kill, a death, and a high speed run

Good kills. About a week ago I said to a buddy at work "I've never been pulled over by the cops" and it happened later that night... so I'm not going to mention anything like that now.... *sigh*... I think it'll happen again tonight now.

Good kills, good intuition you got there. Usually when I get a bad feeling, I ignore it, and it turns out to be a bad situation. Oh well. I've learned from my mistakes now. I can't wait to see what your car looks like. Late...

Re: A kill, a death, and a high speed run

You know they can't search your car unless you give them permission...
