Re: Muffler

It all depends on how much you want to spend...

stock look....
Dynomax Ultra Flo SS Muffler... sounds great
Cherry bombs sound more deep throated..V8 ish

Tuner tubes...
Ractive, apexi, magnaflow.. but don't go cheap or you'll see why when it rusts out..

i had the same question for my 99 z24. I want maximum performance and a nice low tone to it. I dont want a f*&^#$G Apexi N1 that sounds like a damn bumble bee about to explode. I want like the barry white of mufflers with the most performance possible...Any clues? Please...no shitty ebay mufflers either!

Re: Muffler

I put a Glass pack on my 2.2 and it was OK for about 4 months and it has gotten louder and louder. When the motor's cold it's REALLY obnoxiously LOUD! LOL! Funny thing is it's quiet to around 800 RPM but from there to around 1600 RPM it's deafening, after 1800 RPM the volume goes away and it sounds good. If I don't replace it with something better I'll get a ticket, neither of which I can afford! It cost $35 so WTF. But if I had known they get louder I would have used a 3in turbo muffler instead.
