97-99 Ford Taurus (not my car but my parents)

My Parents have a 97-99 Taurus 4 door (don't know exact year sorry, but could find out) anyway.

He did not get a key fob with the car, but it has all the power locks etc, I was wondering if anyone here could tell if the car could use one, or if there is something simple I could do or have them do to find out?

If they pulled it into the service drive at a Ford dealership, they will tell you.
How's that for simple?
