I got killed....by a Mini Cooper "S"

tonight i was driving to werk and this cooper came up behind me (didnt know it was a cooper at first i thought it was a WRX) so i thought gee i'm just gunna PUNCH it on this passing lane on the hill........ HA was i wrong i gave my 85 NA Auto 2+2 all she got and that little F***er of a shoe with 4 wheels passed me like i was on the freeway in the slow lane... it was pitiful!! Now i'm not making excuses for my car and it being a Auto and NA but my tranny is having issues i think he would of not left me in the dust if the tranny was in good working order... he would of though still beaten me, Just not as bad... OH and i did have a Full tower computer keyboard and 17in monitor in the car along with everything else... speakers mouse..ect but still i was pissed i think its time for an exhuast headers and intake on this VG30.

ALL Hail the VG30... hehehe

Sorry that is the best laugh I have had today. I had to eat a 99 Honda civic on the interstate 77 North bound tonight on the way home from a job interview. He came up on me and go into the right lane and revved on me. I was like, what he wants to race me? Is he high if so whats his dealer getting him and mines been holding out!?! So I got on it and let him get up to about 105mph I stayed beside him not even fully on it, then when I could tell he had pushed it as far as it would go I put my foot to the floor, and well left him in the dark wondering what he was thinking. I never even turned my O/D off to race either, thats the sad part. I could tell that he was BONE stock with just a new shinny fart can exhaust, sad really, there should be a theropy class for those kids. Dont mess with the big boys/girls with our big toys.

ya those cooper "s" are fast they pulled on me like he was passing me on the freeway at like 80 while i was doing 55 it was pretty sad but sooon i will have the tranny fixed and at least a cone filter intake... and then after that maybe some nismo headers... what do you guys think about putting on the HKS Quite exhuast on the auto with NON turbo 2+2 is it workable?? i know i will have to Extend it a few in but overall is it worth it?

Don't spend money on any name brands. You pay twice as much (if not more) because ricers are prepared to pay that much just so they can throw stickers all over their car boasting about it. Go down to your local exhaust place, and get them to make up a full exhaust system (headers, hi-flow cat, cat-back). You'll have at least +20hp and you'll still have more change in your pocket than if you had gotten a HKS cat-back. Trust me on this one. If you don't believe me, ring around exhaust places and ask how much it would cost for a custom full exhaust system.

mini cooper's are not THAT fast. they run high 15s. and that is the supercharged version.

I test drove a 88 300 ZX last week, it looked very nice, had some 17 rims on her...nice Z rated tires...BUT....IT was a DOG-amatic...
I couldn't beleive how SLOW it was...
Don't waste money on mods for a auto ranny na 300 ZX in that year range...(84-89) its a waste of money...If you want to go fast, just sell her & get something more "zoomie"

Yea...they aren't too fast. The supercharged ones only have 168 hp...but they also only weigh 2678lbs. This all gets you a 0-60 time ofa couple ticks under 7 sec. Not horrible, but not great either.

Bravo Mikeman, you just made my day. Most people think if it doesn't have a brand name it isn't any good, or can't be done. The fun part of car ownership is being able to do-it-yourself.

Autofree I'm sure glad you didn't buy it. That car needs someone who likes one of Nissan's finest.

The coopers are the same thing as our Z31's. The basic model is 160hp and the supercharged one is 200. Just like our NA is 160 and our turbo is 200. Ofcourse all the minies come in stick and its an option to have an auto. But just know that 90% of the people that drive them are eather gay, or idoits.
